Karl M. Set (born August 28, 1936 in Bardenberg ) is a German sociologist and university professor .

Live and act

Set attended the high school in Alsdorf . Then studied sociology , pedagogy , history and journalism at the PH Aachen and at the universities of Hamburg and Münster . He received his PhD in 1965 at the University of Münster for Dr. phil. , with work Social factors of television information . From 1966 to 1970 he was a research assistant at the PH Rheinland in Aachen. In 1970 he was appointed lecturer at the Schwäbisch Gmünd University of Education , and in 1972 Professor of Sociology.
