Josef Limberger

Josef Limberger (born October 4, 1958 in Micheldorf ) is an Austrian author and photographer .

Live and act

Josef Limberger attended the Hallstatt Wood School in Hallstatt and is a trained sculptor and painter. He photographs for calendars , magazines and books and is the author of numerous specialist articles for various magazines and books. Since 2004, he has been the driving force behind the implementation of the European Green Belt nature conservation project in Upper Austria.

On behalf of the nature conservation department of the Upper Austrian provincial government, he documented the Upper Austrian nature reserves with photographs. He showed particular interest in the Koaserin Koaserin meadow in the Innviertel , which is of particular ornithological interest . For the Upper Austrian Environmental Ombudsman , in 2004 he surveyed the breeding and winter feeding places for little owls and barn owls .

Since 1997 the chairman of the Upper Austrian Nature Conservation Union and as such also editor and member of the editorial team of the association's informative magazine . He also belongs to the Innviertel Artists Guild and the Association for Animal and Nature Photography Austria . He lives with his family in Steegen near Peuerbach .
