Josef Peter Meier-Scupin

Josef Peter Meier-Scupin (born August 17, 1953 in Dingolfing ) is a German architect .

Life

Scupin moved from the Munich University of Applied Sciences in 1975 to the Munich Technical University after a year of study . During his studies Scupin worked in the architecture office D. + R. Thut in Munich. After ten years of study, he graduated with a diploma in 1985 . From 1985 to 1987 Scupin was a research assistant at the Technical University of Munich. In 1986 he opened an office in Munich under the name Meier-Scupin . From 1993 Scupin ran the architectural office Meier-Scupin & Petzet together with the Munich architect Muck Petzet. In 1997 he was appointed to the Association of German Architects . Between 1997 and 1999 Josef Peter Meier-Scupin was a lecturer in architecture at the University of Saxony-Anhalt . From 1999 to 2006 he was regional chairman of the BDA Bavaria . Scupin has been a member of the Munich city planning committee since 2000 . Since 2003 Scupin has been running the office with partner Peter Moos under the name Meier-Scupin & Partner Architects .

Judging activities

Scupin was one of the ten specialist judges for the planning competition for the planned concert hall in Munich in 2016/2017. Scupin was chairman of the jury for the realization competition of the Museum of Bavarian History . Scupin was chairman of the jury for the new building of the Sudeten German Museum. Scupin was chairman of the jury for the realization competition "New Center on the Garching University Campus ". Scupin was chairman of the jury for the design competition for the new cafeteria on the Garching university and research site of the Technical University of Munich .
