Josef Rennhard

Josef Rennhard (born October 7, 1931 in Gippingen ; † February 27, 2010 in Gnadenthal ) was a Swiss journalist, publicist and politician ( CVP ).

biography

Josef Rennhard was originally a teacher before giving up his profession in the 1960s and switching to journalism. He worked for the observer for thirty years , including twelve years as a member of the chief editor. From 2002 to 2009, Rennhard was the first ombudsman at the AZ Medien Group .

He remained closely connected with the school system. He was a lecturer in German didactics at the Aargau teaching college, school inspector , editor of the reading books “Dädalus und Ikarus”, “Schwarz und Weiss” and “Weite Welt” as well as president of the school council in the Baden district.

Rennhard was initially mayor in Leibstadt . He then moved to Würenlos . From 1981 to 1989 he represented the CVP in the Grand Council of the Canton of Aargau . In 1987 he ran unsuccessfully for a seat on the government council .

Josef Rennhard was married and had four children.
