Joseph Abangite Gasi (born January 1, 1928 in Mupoi , † September 12, 2014 in Yambio ) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Tombura-Yambio ( South Sudan ).

Life

Joseph Abangite Gasi was ordained a priest for the Vicariate Apostolic Mupoi on December 21, 1957 .

Pope Paul VI appointed him on December 12, 1974 Bishop of Tombura . The Cardinal Prefect of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples , Cardinal Agnelo Rossi , donated him episcopal ordination on April 6, 1975 ; Co - consecrants were Ubaldo Calabresi , Apostolic Pro-Nuncio in Sudan , and Ireneus Wien Dud , Bishop of Juba .
