Joseph Ambros Michael von Albrecht

Joseph Ambros Michael Albrecht , from 1868 by Albrecht , (born September 26, 1807 in Ingolstadt , † May 17, 1878 in Würzburg ) was a legal scholar and member of the state parliament in the Kingdom of Bavaria .

Life

Albrecht was the son of a surgeon, studied law at the University of Munich and received his doctorate there in 1831. After passing the state examination , he worked for a lawyer.

From 1834 Albrecht was associate professor for law, criminal law and church law in Marburg , first moved to Erlangen as a full professor in 1837 and was appointed to the University of Würzburg in the same year , where he remained active until his death and held the office of rector several times .

He belonged to the Bavarian State Parliament in its eighth and ninth electoral terms and was a member of the Chamber of Deputies for Class II in the Lower Franconia district from 1840 to 1843 .

On August 25, 1868, the professor received the Knight's Cross of the Order of Merit of the Bavarian Crown . Associated with this was the elevation to the personal nobility . In addition, Albrecht was a Knight of the Order of Merit of St. Michael , Knight I Class of the Order of Military Merit and carried the title of royal councilor .
