Jean Joseph Eugène "Papa" Cattaneo (born August 5, 1888 in Milan , † 1975 ) was an Italian entrepreneur and racing driver who also had French citizenship.

Career

From the late 1920s, Joseph Cattaneo ran a trading company for exclusive automobiles in the Paris suburb of Saint-Cloud . He sold Bugatti , Hispano-Suiza , Bentley and Alfa Romeo vehicles . Cattaneo was a close friend of Ettore Bugatti , Luigi Chinetti and Enzo Ferrari . After the end of the Second World War , he was the first Ferrari dealer in France. His clients included Bertil of Sweden , Prince Aly Khan , Roberto Rossellini and Porfirio Rubirosa , among others .
