Joseph Danlami Bagobiri (born November 8, 1957 in Fadan Kagoma , † February 27, 2018 in Kaduna ) was a Nigerian clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Kafanchan .

Life

Joseph Danlami Bagobiri studied philosophy and theology at the seminary in Jos (1977/83), at the Pontifical Urban University in Rome, the Franciscan University of Steubenville in Ohio and at the Pontifical University of Saint Thomas Aquinas in Rome. Bagobiri received on 11 June 1983, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

On July 10, 1995, Pope John Paul II appointed him first bishop of the diocese of Kafanchan, which was established on the same date . The Archbishop of Kaduna , Peter Yariyok Jatau , donated him episcopal ordination on October 21 of the same year ; Co- consecrators were the Archbishop of Jos , Gabriel Gonsum Ganaka , and the Archbishop of Abuja , John Onaiyekan .
