Joseph Pastor Neelankavil CMI (born March 19, 1930 in Aranattukara , Kerala , India ) is former bishop of Sagar .

Life

Joseph Pastor Neelankavil joined the Congregation of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate at and received on 17 May 1960, the priestly ordination . John Paul II appointed him Bishop of Sagar on December 20, 1986 .

The Bishop of Trichur , Joseph Kundukulam , ordained him bishop on February 22nd of the next year ; Co- consecrators were Raphael Cheenath SVD , Archbishop of Cuttack-Bhubaneswar , and Eugene Louis D'Souza MSFS , Archbishop of Bhopal .

On February 2, 2006, Pope Benedict XVI. his age-related resignation.
