Joshua Asiedu Abuaku (born July 7, 1996 in Oberhausen , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German sprinter . His most important disciplines are the 400-meter hurdles and the 400-meter run .
Life
Abuaku, child of a family with Ghanaian roots, came to athletics at the school in Oberhausen. At the national youth games , he was noticed as a nine-year-old running through the forest . As a member of the LAV Oberhausen he tried the all- around at the beginning . Through targeted support, he developed into a sprinter from the age of 16. At the Elsa-Brandström-Gymnasium in Alt-Oberhausen he made the Abitur . In October 2015 he began studying sport and health at the German Sport University Cologne . In 2018 he moved from LAV Oberhausen to LG Eintracht Frankfurt . Since November 1, 2017, he has been a soldier in a sports company of the Bundeswehr .
