The tour of the Pakistani national cricket team to Sri Lanka in the 1996/97 season took place from April 19 to 30, 1997. The international cricket tour was part of the 1996/97 international cricket season and included two tests . The series ended in a 0–0 draw.

Both teams previously played a three-nation tournament in the United Arab Emirates together with Zimbabwe . The last meeting of the two teams on a tour took place in the 1995/96 season in Pakistan .
