Jost Pieper

Jost Pieper (born August 29, 1972 in Sauerland ) is a former German actor who worked as a development worker in Africa until 2018 .

Life

Jost Pieper began acting as a schoolboy. For example, he and two friends directed the Super 8 film Im Schatten des Monster , in which a cassette recorder replaced the soundtrack. He also devoted himself to creating masks and full-body costumes, some of which were made of paper mache , but looked quite realistic.

In 1995 Pieper taught for seven months at the Mwangaza Art School in Kisumu , Kenya as part of a slum project. He continued this activity at irregular intervals, most recently in summer 2005.

Pieper completed his acting training from 1996 to 2000 at the University of Music and Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig . He played theater in Cologne (1996), Leipzig (1998), Chemnitz (1999–2000) and Bremen (2001).

From 2000 to 2011 Jost Pieper had roles in German television productions and series.

From 2004 to 2006 Pieper stood in front of the camera for the RTL series Behind Gates - The Woman Barber as "Schluse" closer David Wilborn . In 2002 he already had a guest role at Hinter Gittern . From March to August 2007 he could be seen as Maximilian "Max" van Weyden on ZDF - Telenovela Paths to Happiness .

In addition to acting, his great love is painting. His pictures have already been exhibited in several German cities. He illustrated a calendar.

After finishing his acting career, he went to the Congo as a development worker to work in a center for orphans and street children. There he looked after disabled children - he also adopted an orphan there. In 2018 he returned with his adopted child to his home in Schmallenberg, where they have both lived since then.
