Juan Diego Ramírez Calderon (born July 21, 1971 ) is a former Colombian cyclist .

Athletic career

Juan Diego Ramírez was a professional cyclist from 1993 to 2012. In 1995 he finished fourth in the overall classification of the Clásico RCN , won a stage of the Vuelta a Colombia and was second overall. In the years that followed, he won four stages of the Tour of Colombia, finishing second eleven times. In 2000 and 2001 he won the Clásico RCN . The following year he became the Pan American road racing champion.

Ramírez started twice in major country tours in Europe: At the Vuelta a España 1997 he was 75th overall, he could not finish the Giro d'Italia 2002 . In 2006 he won the Doble Copacabana and in 2006 and 2009 each stage of the Vuelta a Colombia . In 2012 he ended his cycling career as a professional racing driver, but continued to compete in domestic races
