Juan Manuel Muñoz Curiel

Juan Manuel Muñoz Curiel OFM (born March 12, 1958 in Guadalajara ) is a Mexican religious and Roman Catholic auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara .

Life

Juan Manuel Muñoz Curiel graduated as an agricultural engineer and later joined the Franciscan Order . He studied in Rome at the religious high school Antonianum in Rome and received on 3 July 1993, the sacrament of Holy Orders .

In addition to various tasks within his order, he was Secretary of the Archdiocese of Guadalajara for Consecrated Life and a member of the Priestly Council of the Archdiocese. Until his appointment as bishop, he was Provincial of the Order of Santos Francisco y Santiago en México .

On February 2, 2018 Pope appointed him Francis to the titular of Tucci and auxiliary bishop in Guadalajara. The Archbishop of Guadalajara, Francisco Cardinal Robles Ortega , donated him and the auxiliary bishops Engelberto Polino Sánchez and Héctor López Alvarado, who were appointed with him, episcopal ordination on April 21 of the same year .
