Aargau Youth Symphony Orchestra

The Aargau Youth Symphony Orchestra , or JSAG for short, was founded in 2005 . It is located at the Künstlerhaus Boswil and is institutionally connected to it. Its conductor is Hugo Bollschweiler .

The orchestra now consists of about 50 musicians and musicians. Since it was founded, it has been one of the most innovative and ambitious youth orchestras in Switzerland , not least thanks to the work of its founder and former conductor, Moritz Baltzer . Since its inception, some world-famous soloists, and in particular emerging soloists from Switzerland, have played with the orchestra. Every year in winter and summer, the JSAG carries out a tour which has taken it to all the important concert venues in the Aargau region, as well as to appearances throughout the rest of Switzerland. More than 30 editorial newspaper reports in the leading print media in Switzerland, as well as radio reports on the state radio DRS, testify to its success.

Forerunner of the Youth Symphony Orchestra of Aargau was the continued existence of youth orchestras Freiamt . The JSAG was founded as part of an innovative cultural promotion project by the Office for Education, Culture and Sport of the Canton of Aargau .

Soloists

Since it was founded, the Aargau Youth Symphony Orchestra has performed with up-and-coming young soloists from the Aargau region as well as with important established artists. Previous soloists have included Radovan Vlatković ( French horn ), Dejan Lazić ( piano ), Daria Zappa ( violin ), Oliver Schnyder (piano), Fabio de Casola ( clarinet ), Judith Schmid ( mezzo-soprano ), Benjamin Nyffenegger ( cello ), Rahel Cuntz (Violin) or Edicson Ruiz (double bass).
