July is the capital of the Chucuito Province in the Puno region of southern Peru . July is in the district of the same name . The city had 8148 inhabitants at the 2017 census. Ten years earlier the population was 8,157.
Geographical location
The city of July is located about one kilometer from the southwestern shore of Lake Titicaca . It is located 75 km southeast of the regional capital Puno . The next larger town is Ilave , about 25 km northwest.
