Julie Strain (born February 18, 1962 in Concord , California ) is an American model , actress , director and screenwriter .

Life

Strain is considered the "Queen of B-Movies " and dealt with it with great self-irony , as she also describes it in her 1997 autobiography "6 foot 1 and worth the climb", so she was never too good to see herself in appearances in A-Hollywood productions (she had small roles in Die nackte Kanone 33⅓ , Concentrated Load - Double Impact and Beverly Hills Cop III ), to satirize herself. In the course of her career, Strain has appeared in over 100 productions. At the same time, she continued to work very successfully as an erotic model. In 1993 she became the so-called Penthouse Pet of the Year after she was previously Penthouse Pet June 1991 , after which she appeared in several video clips of the Penthouse and Playboy .

Strain served as a real model for the character Julie in the cartoon Heavy Metal: FAKK² . In the magazine of the same name, photographs and drawings based on the appearance of Strain and created by her friends Olivia de Berardinis and Simon Bisley often appeared .

As a director she was responsible for the films Vampire Child (1999) and Lingerie Kickboxer (1998). She also developed the script for both films .

Julie Strain was married to comic artist Kevin Eastman , one of the inventors of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles , from 1995 to 2008 and is mother to a son named Shane (* 2007). In November 2018 it became known that she had dementia , which developed very surprisingly and is progressing very quickly. It is believed that it could be related to a previous brain injury she sustained as a young woman.
