Julius Oskar Galler (* May 16, 1844 in Meßkirch ; † July 16, 1905 in Stuttgart ) was a bookseller and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Galler attended high school in Sigmaringen and later the Chaillet Institute in Grandson (French: Switzerland). He learned the book trade in Frankfurt am Main and was employed in Vienna , Zurich , Bremen and most recently in the Cottaschen bookstore in Stuttgart , where he was also an independent bookseller from 1872. He was also a member of the citizens' committee of the city of Stuttgart and a committee member of the German and Württemberg People's Party .

From 1893 to 1898 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency of Württemberg 8 ( Freudenstadt , Horb , Oberndorf , Sulz ) and the German People's Party . Between 1900 and his death he was a member of the Second Chamber of the Württemberg Land estates . He provided the state parliament mandate for the constituency of Freudenstadt .
