Julius Graf von Platen (also: Julius Wilhelm Ludwig von Platen zu Hallermund and Platen zu Hallermund and name variants as well as Julius Gottfried Platen-Hallermund ; born December 26, 1816 in Hanover , † September 1, 1889 in Dresden ) was a royal Hanover theater director and major in the Royal Hanoverian Guard Regiment and wing adjutant .

Julius von Platen-Hallermund was a member of the noble family von Platen-Hallermund and a son of the Hanoverian Lord Chamberlain Georg von Platen Hallermund (1785–1873) and Juliane (1788–1833), daughter of Karl Philipp Graf von Hardenberg . He was a brother of the Hanoverian Postmaster General Karl von Platen Hallermund (1810-1887), the Hanoverian diplomat and Minister of State Adolf von Platen-Hallermund and Georg von Platen-Hallermund (1827-1881) and the uncle of the poet and officer August von Platen (1796 -1835).

Life
