Jure Borišek (born July 27, 1986 in Šempeter pri Gorici ) is a Slovenian chess player .
He won the Slovenian individual championship twice: 2003 in Bled and 2005 in Ptuj . He played for Slovenia at nine Chess Olympiads : 2002 to 2018 . He made his Olympic debut in 2002 in the host country's B team of Slovenia. He also took part in the European team championships seven times (2003 to 2015) and in several Mitropa cups (2003 to 2004, 2006 to 2010, 2012 to 2013 and 2015 to 2016).
In the 2016/17 season he was Luxembourg team champion with Gambit Bonnevoie .
In 2003 he became International Master (IM), in 2008 he was awarded the title of Grand Master (GM).
