In addition to the historical masters, the list includes master players who are or were eligible to play for the Slovenian Chess Federation and who have won the Slovenian individual championship since Slovenia's independence in 1991 (or the Yugoslav championship before 1991), or an IM or GM title (of both sexes) wear or have an Elo of at least 2400 or are outstanding correspondence chess players.

Individual evidence

  1. ^ Zlatko Bašagić played for the Bosnian Chess Federation until 1997.
  2. Alexander Beliavsky played for the Soviet Chess Federation until 1992 and for the Ukrainian Chess Federation from 1992 to 1995.
  3. Zvonimir Meštrović played for the Bosnian Chess Federation until 1994 and again from 2013.
  4. ^ Adrian Mihalčišin played for the Soviet Chess Federation until 1992 and for the Ukrainian Chess Federation from 1992 to 1995.
  5. Anna Musytschuk played until 2004 and has played again for the Ukrainian Chess Federation since 2014.
  6. Matjaž Pirš plays correspondence chess for the German Chess Federation.
