Yuri Nikolajewitsch Fedkin ( Russian Юрий Николаевич Федькин ; born October 6, 1960 in Moscow , Russian SFSR ) is a former Russian sports shooter .
successes
Yuri Fedkin took part in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona with the air rifle for the United Team . In qualifying he was the only one to score 593 points and was the first to reach the final. Since he also achieved the best value in this with 102.3 points, he came first with a total of 695.3 points ahead of Franck Badiou and Johann Riederer and thus became Olympic champion . At the World Championships in Sarajevo in 1989 he won his only individual medal when he finished second with an air rifle. With the team he was also vice world champion in 1989 and 1991 in Stavanger and also secured bronze with her in 1997 in Budapest and 1994 in Milan .
He was five times European champion and several times Soviet champion. After his playing career, he became a coach at CSKA Moscow .
