Zhu Qinan

Zhu Qinan ( Ch. :朱启南, Zhū Qǐnán * 15. November 1984 in Wenzhou ) is a Chinese sports shooter in the discipline air rifle .

Qinan Zhu had his first major international success by winning the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens with an air rifle over 10 meters. With 702.7 rings he set a new world record. The Hangzhou native also won the final of the World Cup in Bangkok that same year . Six more World Cup victories followed by 2008 and another victory at the World Cup finals in Bangkok in 2007. At the 2006 World Cup in Zagreb , he won the bronze medal with 697.9 rings. Qinan finished fourth at the Asian Championships in Kuwait City with 696.0 rings. At his second Summer Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008 , he won the silver medal behind Abhinav Bindra .
