Jurica Veverec (born June 18, 1992 ) is a Croatian biathlete .
Jurica Veverec starts for SK Oroslavje . He competed in his first international races in 2008 in the IBU Cup , in his first sprint in Obertilliach he was 169. In the further course of the season the Croat was 95th in a sprint in Nové Město na Moravě and thus came for the first time on a double-digit place. The best result so far is a 56th place in the sprint, which he achieved twice, in 2009 in Osrblie and 2011 in Bansko . The first international championships were the Junior World Championships 2011 in Nové Město, in which Veverec was 78th of the individual and 80th of the sprint. In the further course of the year he took part in the junior races of the Summer Biathlon World Championships 2011 in Nové Město and came 44th in the sprint and was lapped in the pursuit race and therefore did not finish. In 2012 the European Championships became the first international championship. He was 36th in the individual, 49th in the sprint and once again failed to cross the finish line as a lapped runner in the pursuit. This was followed by the Junior World Championships 2012 in Kontiolahti with the results 66th place in the individual and 80th place in the sprint. The highlight of the season was the 2012 World Championships in Ruhpolding . Veverec reached the 126th in the individual, 131st in the sprint and was with Tomislav Crnković , Zvonimir Tadejević and Dino Butković as the starting runner 29th in the relay race.
