Justus Hermann Ludwig Beneken (* in Kirchdorf ; † July 3, 1743 in Ratzeburg ) was an Evangelical Lutheran pastor and superintendent for Lauenburg , based in Ratzeburg from 1738 to 1743.

Professional background

In 1719 Beneken took up a pastor's position in Husum in the Wölpe office .

In 1732 he became superintendent in Börry in the Grohnde office .

In 1738 he was called to Ratzeburg, where he took up his post as superintendent and pastor at the town church of St. Petri on May 19 .

During his tenure in 1741 the Lauenburg standard hymn book was introduced under the title Evangelical Song Theology .
