Jutta Bauer

Jutta Bauer (born January 9, 1955 in Hamburg ) is a German illustrator and author of books for children and young people.

Life

From 1975 to 1981 she studied illustration at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. In 1980 she became a member of the "Hamburger Illustratorengruppe". She has been publishing picture books since 1981. She drew cartoons and picture stories for Brigitte magazine . In 1991 she began drawing cartoons and working for ZDF . Jutta Bauer taught illustration at the Bauhaus University in Weimar and has been leading illustration workshops all over the world for years. She illustrated Kirsten Boie's picture books about the boy July and other books by Christine Nöstlinger , Peter Härtling and Klaus Kordon . Her own books have been translated into many languages.

In 1986 their son was born.
