Jutta Cloud

Jutta Wolke (born May 29, 1953 in Hagen ) is a German diplomat and was Consul General in Istanbul from 2012 to 2015 . Since 2015 she has been the Consul General in Milan .

Life

After graduating from high school , Jutta Wolke studied English , American , social and political science from 1972 to 1977 and, after taking the first state examination, was in the preparatory service for teaching at grammar schools from 1977 to 1979 . She then completed a postgraduate degree in International Relations at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University in Washington, DC, and completed this degree with a Master of Arts (MA International Relations). She then worked as a lecturer at McKinsey & Company from 1981 to 1982 and then as an assistant for cultural affairs at the Consulate General of the USA in Düsseldorf .

In 1984 she joined the foreign service and, after completing her career examination, worked from 1986 to 1989 as press and cultural advisor at the Consulate General in Istanbul , before she subsequently worked for the permanent representation at the international organizations in Geneva for environmental issues . After a position in the human resources department of the Foreign Office from 1991 to 1994, she was head of the political and press department at the embassy in South Africa and, between 1997 and 2001, head of the policy department for foreign policy at the office of the Federal President .

In 2001 she became office manager and media officer at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in Vienna and then in 2004 took over the position of head of division for Turkey , Norway , Iceland , Switzerland and Liechtenstein in the Foreign Office . She was then head of the Foreign Service Academy from 2008 to 2011 .

In 2011 Jutta Wolke became ambassador to Algeria and thus successor to Matei Hoffmann . Her successor as Ambassador to Algeria was then Götz Lingenthal , the previous head of the representative office of the Federal Republic of Germany in the Palestinian Autonomous Areas in Ramallah . In 2012, Wolke became Consul General in Istanbul as the successor to Brita Wagener and since 2015 she has been Consul General in Milan.
