Juvhel Tsoumou (born December 27, 1990 in Brazzaville , VR Congo , today Republic of the Congo ) is a German football player of Congolese origin.
Career
The striker grew up in the Congolese capital Brazzaville , where he showed his talent on clay courts. At the age of ten, Tsoumou came to Zwickau with his mother, who was studying business administration , where he began to play football in the youth of the FSV Zwickau .
In 2003 Charly Körbel directed him to the Eintracht Frankfurt soccer school . Here he played until July 2006 before he moved to the Academy of Blackburn Rovers in England .
After a season on the island, Tsoumou returned to Eintracht. He sees better prospects in Frankfurt, said the striker. After his move to England, among other things, the contact with the DFB decreased significantly.
On September 4, 2007, Eintracht coach Friedhelm Funkel Tsoumou gave Tsoumou the first chance to train with the professionals due to a number of international matches. Youth coordinator Holger Müller compared the offensive player with Jermaine Jones . For the Bundesliga game on November 10, 2007 against Borussia Dortmund , the striker was appointed to the professional squad for the first time. He finally made his Bundesliga debut on September 28, 2008 against Arminia Bielefeld , when he came into the game for Nikos Liberopoulos in the 74th minute . On March 20, 2010 (27th matchday) in a 2-1 home win over FC Bayern Munich , he scored his first Bundesliga goal by scoring a 1-1 draw.
On August 4, 2010, Alemannia Aachen announced the commitment of Tsoumou.
In August 2011 Tsoumou moved to the English third division club Preston North End . In January 2012, the striker was loaned to Plymouth Argyle until the end of the season . After his contract with Preston North End was not renewed and Plymouth Argyle had no interest in a further commitment, he was without a club from summer 2012.
On September 13, 2012, Tsoumou was signed by TSV Hartberg , who plays in the Austrian First League (2nd level), until June 2013. In his debut against SKN St. Pölten , he scored twice, for a 3-1 win.
For the 2018/2019 season, the Romanian first division club FC Hermannstadt Tsoumou signed a free transfer.
In 2008, Juvhel Tsoumou made several appearances in the junior national teams of the German Football Association (U-18 and U-19).
