Körzin is a part of the municipality in the Zauchwitz district of the city of Beelitz in Brandenburg . The place is located at the confluence of the Nieplitz and Pfefferfließ southwest of the Blankensee in the Nuthe-Nieplitz Nature Park between Beelitz and Trebbin, northeast of the B 246 .

Körzin is a dead end village . The place has no public facilities and has an agricultural character. The village has become known in the Potsdam and Berlin area through its tourist attractions and the variety of its offers, z. B. farm shop, restaurant, café, bird of prey collection station, organic cattle farming and horse boarding with trail riding station.

The place name Körzin (1375 Ketzin, 1775 Körtzin) comes from Slavic times and means “place where sticks and tree stumps are”. The names of the neighboring places, Stücken and Stangenhagen , are German translations of the Slavic name.

Körzin is a ground monument area in its entirety . During construction work, a large number of finds from the Slavic settlement period around 1000 AD were discovered. There is also a well-preserved Slavic rampart north of the village .

To protect rare meadow breeders, entering the surrounding meadows is not permitted. On the Körziner meadows are u. a. Ospreys , white-tailed eagles , lapwing , herons , storks and cranes can be observed.
