Kösingen (Swabian "Kesig") is a district of Neresheim in Baden-Württemberg Ostalbkreis . The once independent place was incorporated into Neresheim in 1971. The hamlet of Hohlenstein and the Fluertshäuserhof homestead belong to Kösingen.

Location and transport links

Kösingen is to the east of the city center of Neresheim, not far from the eastern border with Bavaria on the district roads K 3301 and K 3314. The B 466 runs north and west .

history

In 1721 Johann Michael Zink painted the parish church of Kösingen, which belongs to the abbey.

On January 1, 1971, Kösingen was incorporated into Neresheim.
