history

Kloppitz was mentioned for the first time in 1350 in a document from King Ludwig of Bavaria . In 1448 it was acquired by Margrave Johann von Brandenburg for the Order of St. John by their master, Nickel von Thierbach, and belonged to his office of Rampitz until 1804.

Former bridge Kloppitz – Fürstenberg (Oder)

At the beginning of the 20th century, Kloppitz was connected to the Lausitz town of Fürstenberg (now part of Eisenhüttenstadt) via a bridge; the construction work was completed in 1919. However, it was blown up by the German Wehrmacht on February 4, 1945 when the Red Army reached the river in the Vistula-Oder operation .

After the Second World War , Kloppitz went to Poland together with the Neumark and was given the Polish name of Kłopot. The population was driven out ; instead, people from eastern Poland were settled.
