The Junior League Baseball World Series is an international baseball tournament for boys between the ages of 13 and 14. The first tournament was held in 1981. Since then, the tournament has always been held in August in Taylor , Michigan .
Initially only four teams from the United States played , gradually more and more international teams were added. Today ten teams are playing for the title.
qualification
The qualifying tournaments for the Junior League World Series usually take place in early summer all over the world. The respective modes differ from region to region. The regions of Puerto Rico and Mexico will alternately receive a fixed starting place. In the years without a direct starting place, teams from Puerto Rico and Mexico can still represent the Latin America region.

At the international level, the regions are composed as follows:
- Asia Pacific region
- Europe and Africa region
- Canada region
- Latin America region
- Mexico region (even years)
- Puerto Rico Region (Odd Years)
In 2002, the southwest region split off from the south region . This was only renamed to Southeast in 2009.
Venue
The tournament has been held at Heritage Park in Taylor (Michigan) since the beginning. In addition to the baseball fields, the park is also home to soccer fields, swimming pools, historic buildings and other opportunities for recreational activities.
