Eagle Pass is a city in Maverick County in the US state of Texas and the seat of the county seat . Eagle Pass is located on the Rio Grande (Spanish: Río Bravo del Norte ), which forms the border with Mexico and is connected by the Eagle Pass – Piedras Negras International Bridge with the opposite Piedras Negras in the Mexican state of Coahuila .

history

Eagle Pass was the first American community on the Rio Grande. In 1871 Maverick County was established and Eagle Pass was made the seat of county government.

On April 24, 2007, a tornado hit the city, killing people and causing great damage. He paralyzed public life for a week.
