The steam locomotive series kkStB 149 was a series of freight trains with a tender of the kkStB , which originally came from the KFNB .

The StEG locomotive factory and the Wiener Neustädter Lokomotivfabrik supplied 77 of these type C locomotives from 1865 to 1870 , which were similar to the SB 29 . The KFNB differentiated between two types of machines in the Vc series , which were designated as Vc1 and Vc2 and differed in details, especially with regard to the boiler pressure and the tenders used (G and H2).

The machines in the Vc series were mainly used on the Vienna - Lundenburg route.

At the kkStB they formed row 149 .

After the First World War , part of the 149 series came to PKP , and as 311.3 to ČSD and BBÖ . The ČSD decommissioned the locomotives until 1940 , the BBÖ until 1929
