KIOX is the first solo album by the Chemnitz rapper Kummer . It was released on October 10, 2019 by the music label Kummer & Eklat Tonträger .

Kummer works mainly as the front singer for the rock band Kraftklub . On June 11, 2019, he released the single 9010 . About a month later he announced his first solo album KIOX . The songwriting took loud grief three years to complete.

Distribution and album title

For Kummer, the album is a "heart project" in which he wanted to be in control from start to finish. Therefore, the album was distributed in an unusual way. Instead of offering it at wholesalers, Kummer opened a record store for a weekend with the same name as his album.

KIOX reached the top position of the album charts in Germany and stayed in the top 10 for a week and a total of three weeks . In the German hip-hop charts , the album was also on the chart top position.
