Kaalia is a successful Bollywood film with Amitabh Bachchan in his well-known "angry young man" role.
action
Kaalia lives in his older brother's house and his family. One day his brother has an accident at work in the mill and loses both arms. He is also rid of his job, but needs the money for the treatment. Kaalia begs the new owner of the mill, Shahani, for money, but he falls on deaf ears. Shahani has plans of his own and only wants to conduct his illegal gold deals in the mill.
Kaalia decides to simply steal the money from Shahani's safe. However, any help comes too late for his brother. Shahani sees Kaalia go to jail for nine months. After his release, Kaalia thirsts for revenge. With the help of some accomplices, he steals the gold that is smuggled into the mill. Then he lights it up.
For this offense, Kaalia ends up behind bars again, this time for two years. His sister-in-law Shanti and his niece believe he is in America to earn money for them both. In prison he also met the guard Raghvir, whose daughter Rani was kidnapped by a prisoner as a child.
After Kaalia's release, he is still obsessed with revenge and gets to know a certain Shalini. Shahani kidnaps Kaalia's niece and forces Shanti to testify against Kaalia on a murder affair. Kaalia is found guilty of a murder he did not commit. The only one who believes him is the prison guard Raghvir. He helps Kaalia to escape and comes to his aid afterwards.
Not only the niece, but also Shanti is held by Shahani. There it also turns out that it was Shahani who had kidnapped Raghvir's daughter at the time and this is none other than the now adult Shalini. Kaalia and Raghvir fight the villain and live happier than ever after this event.
