Lafontaine I cabinet
The Lafontaine I cabinet is the name given to the Saarland state government under Prime Minister Oskar Lafontaine ( SPD ) from April 9, 1985 to February 21, 1990.
After the state elections on March 10, 1985 , Oskar Lafontaine was elected Prime Minister of the Saarland state parliament in its ninth legislative period . He replaced Werner Zeyer ( CDU ), who had been Prime Minister since July 5, 1979 .
