Kai Linster (born June 17, 1991 ) is a Luxembourg ice hockey player who has been playing for the IHC Beaufort since 2014 . Since 2016 he takes with the team at the Belgian National League Division I in part. His younger brother Bob is also a Luxembourg national ice hockey player.

Career

Kai Linster began his career at Hiversport Luxembourg , where he was already used in the Luxembourg league as a 16-year-old . From 2009 he played for Tornado Luxembourg in the French Division 3 , the fourth highest division in the country. He has been under contract with the IHC Beaufort since 2014 . With the club from the canton of Echternach , he first played in the Rhineland-Palatinate League , a regional league of the fifth level in Germany. Since 2016 he has been playing with the team in the Belgian National League Division I , the country's second-highest division.

International

For the men's team of the Grand Duchy, Linster was at the 2008 World Cup in Division III. There he also played at the World Championships in 2009 , 2010 , 2011 , 2012 , 2015 and 2017 . At the 2018 World Cup , he played in Division II for the first time.
