Kai Schwind

Kai Schwind (born June 30, 1976 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German author and director for radio plays and live productions, as well as a freelance journalist and media scientist. He received his doctorate in 2015 with a thesis on transnational adaptations of the sitcom The Office in the field of television and media studies.

Life

After studying theater, film and media studies and English studies at the Goethe University in Frankfurt ( master's degree in 2004) Schwind was an editor at the radio station You FM hired and moonlighting as a freelance journalist for various publishers, among others , Spiegel Online , Prince and intro active . Together with Sven Buchholz, he has produced various radio comedy series as comedy duo Kai + Sven , including the successful format of Ferienbande , which established itself as a radio play series and stage show.

Since 2006 he has been directing radio plays, audio books and plays as a freelance author and director. After spending a year abroad while studying in Perth ( Australia ), he discovered his passion for travel and began to write travel columns for the Lufthansa Worldshop . For the audio book publisher Geophon he toured Norway , the Côte d'Azur , Provence and Scotland . His impressions and experiences have been published as travel audio books. As a dialog book author he wrote for various radio play series, including Team X-treme , Die Alster-Detektiven and TKKG . During the live tours Die Drei ??? and the strange alarm clock 2009 - Live and Ticking and Phonophobia - Symphony of Fear (2014, 2015), he directed and wrote the stage script. During the anniversary tour Die Drei ??? and the dark Taipan (2019, 2020) he directs.
