Kai Uwe Struwe (born June 8, 1965 in Essen ) is a German bassist , composer , lyricist and singer . He is a member of the Money Box Trio , bassist with Helge Schneider and together with the actor August Zirner performs the musical reading “The Little Prince”.

Musical stations

Kai Struwe worked with Tom Mega from 1982 until Mega's death in 2002. In the 1980s and 1990s he was a member of Thomas (Schnulli) Koppelbergs Wolfen. As a member of the Roy Herrington Band , he went on tour with the band from 1992 to 1995 together with Chris Farlowe . In 1989 the Spardosen-Terzett was founded, in which he acts as a bassist, harmonica player, lyricist, composer and singer. The money box trio worked with Wiglaf Droste , Ina Müller , Dietmar Wischmeyer , Kai Magnus Sting, Stephan Sulke and August Zirner , among others . In 2013 he joined Helge Schneider. Since 2015 he has been playing "the little prince" with August Zirner.
