Kai Magnus Sting

Kai Magnus Sting (* 8. January 1978 in Duisburg ) is a German comedian , writer , radio presenter and actor .

Career

Sting met Hanns Dieter Hüsch for the first time on December 24, 1992 , whom he was allowed to interview as part of a listener interview campaign in the WDR's midday magazine. The contact with Hüsch remains and in 1998 Hüsch writes the foreword to Sting's first CD Alles liebe Menschen . In November 1999, Hüsch and Sting recorded the CD Wat willzemachen together , which was released in 2000.

On December 24, 1993, Sting also got to know Konrad Beikircher as part of an interview in the WDR's midday magazine . This contact also remained and in 1998 led to a joint appearance at the entertainment on the weekend at WDR 5 . In 1994 the own, monthly cabaret radio show followed ... and the rest is silence! the community radio of the local radio station Radio Duisburg , which ended in 2001 at his request. Afterwards he wrote weekly columns for the daily newspaper WAZ and could be heard with the weekly column Mr. Magnus on WDR 4.

After graduating from high school in 1998 at Landfermann-Gymnasium, he wrote and coordinated the satirical crime radio drama series Kieselbach's cases from 1999 to 2001 , which were also broadcast on the Duisburg radio station. Various other activities followed, so he appeared several times in the TV programs Midnight Peak , Night Wash and TV total . In 2001 he had a small role in the last crime scene with Manfred Krug and Charles Brauer . In 2007 he appeared together with Jochen Malmsheimer and Piet Klocke, among others .

His interest in crime radio drama remained. In 2010 Leichenpuzzle was released , a radio play based on Sting's book of the same name (published in 2006, heavily revised edition in 2015) and recorded by a prominent group of speakers. Henning Venske , Traugott Buhre , Jochen Busse , Piet Klocke , Jochen Malmsheimer , Susanne Pätzold , Erwin Grosche , Christiane Weber , Peter Nottmeier , Petra Nadolny were among others. a. with it. Live performances with the cast also followed. The radio play The Extermination of the Neighborhood , another story about the criminalist old men trio that goes on the hunt for murderers, was released in 2012. In 2014, he went on a live radio play tour with Bastian Pastewka and accomplices in Paul Temple and the Gregory case , a radio play based on the model by Francis Durbridge .

He celebrated his 20th stage anniversary in February 2015 in the Stadttheater Duisburg with many well-known colleagues such as Konrad Beikircher , Fritz Eckenga , Piet Klocke , Jochen Busse and Götz Alsmann . The evening was recorded as a live recording by WDR .

The play Butterkuchen - You Are Not In It, written by Sting, has been performed in the Freudenhaus Theater in Essen since 2015 .

Sting is a regular guest at the annual cabaret evening colleagues read colleagues at the RuhrHOCHdeutsch Festival in Dortmund.
