Petra Nadolny (born January 11, 1960 in Jarmen ) is a German actress , comedy actress and author .

Life

After completing her studies as a journalist at the University of Leipzig in 1983, she worked in Leipzig as an editor for the Börsenblatt for the German book trade and, due to a professional ban, from 1985 as an actress in a free theater group. After leaving the GDR in 1988 for North Rhine-Westphalia , she founded the independent theater groups “Theater 1 + 1” as well as “EWG Böttcher” and “Brut de luxe” there.

Her television comedy career started in 1997 with the ProSieben series Switch . Since then, she has appeared in several TV series such as Die Camper ( RTL ), “Die Wachmänner” ( Sat.1 ) and Die Lottokönige ( WDR ) in continuous roles.

In 1998 Nadolny was nominated as best comedienne for the Golden Camera and in 1999 with the Switch Ensemble for the Golden Rose of Montreux . From 2007 to 2013 she was in Switch Reloaded , the new edition of "Switch", u. a. as a parodist by Elke Heidenreich , Ursula von der Leyen , Nina Hagen and Sibylle Weischenberg in front of the camera. As a member of the Switch Reloaded ensemble, she was awarded the German Television Prize, the Grimme Prize, the Romy and twice the German Comedy Prize.

In the cinema, Nadolny has appeared in the films Sascha , An island called Udo and the youth film Rock it! to see. The Deutsche Depeschendienst (ddp) described Nadolny's play of the strict and amiable weird director in Rock it! as "brilliantly hit" .

In the eight-part RTL sitcom Not to get dead (2016) she plays a leading role alongside Jochen Busse and Caroline Frier .

Petra Nadolny is part of the main cast of the Sat.1 series Die Läusemutter (2019). She embodies the chairwoman of the parents' council, Doris, who is desperately looking for love and recognition, but repeatedly fails because of herself and her surroundings.

Petra Nadolny lives in Cologne and Berlin . She is the author of the books “Alles Neisse, Oder? My stories from the east ”and“ Heimat to go. The art of always feeling at home ”.

In December 2014 and January 2015 she ran the blog "Shiva Colonia" with author Anne Weiss about their trip through South India.
