List of Austrian envoys in Venice

This is a list of the Austrian envoys in Venice .

In 1494 the Archduchy of Austria established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Venice .

In 1797 the Doge Ludovico Manin handed the city over to Napoleon Bonaparte , who passed it on to Austria-Hungary . This ended the Republic of Venice .
