Kambakkht Ishq (translated: cursed love ) is a 2009 Bollywood film directed by Sabbir Khan and starring Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor . Sylvester Stallone and Denise Richards make guest appearances. The film was released in some German cinemas with German synchronization.

When Viraj Shergill, a stuntman from Hollywood, and medical student Simrita Rai meet, they are not thrilled. Viraj's brother Lucky marries Simitra's best friend Kamini at a hastily planned wedding. They immediately develop an aversion to each other and have a very derogatory attitude towards the opposite sex. They are convinced that a marriage between the two newlyweds will not work out and try to talk them out of it.
Simrita persuades Kamini to test her theory that men only want one thing. Kamini forces Lucky to wait three months after taking her marriage vows. Simitra is convinced that Lucky will not be able to wait and that would show Kamini that Lucky is just like any other man.
Viraj, listening to the conversation, tries to do exactly the opposite. Viraj visits the local disco bar with Kamini , where Kamini sees her husband with a "friend". Viraj's plan to make Kamini jealous backfires, because Kamini and Lucky end up in the divorce court, whereupon the judge puts them on a three-month marriage trial. Simitra still tells Kamini that sex is the only thing he wants. Lucky wants to sleep with his wife, but she won't let him go.
Meanwhile, Viraj and Simitra meet on the plane heading for Italy , which neither pleases. Simitra is modeling to finance her medical studies, and Viraj wanted to take some time off from all the stress. Simitra's aunt Dolly gives her a watch that should bring her luck. The watch hangs loosely on the wrist. Viraj injured himself during a stunt and had to go to the emergency room , where Simitra had to operate on him. When the X-rays are ready after the operation , Simitra realizes that her watch has fallen into Viraj's stomach.
Simitra tries in different ways to get the clock out. During one attempt, she fails and she realizes that her view of infidelity lies in two important men of her childhood whom she is bitterly disappointed with: her divorced father and her older sister's ex-husband. At this point, Viraj secretly begins to fall in love with Simitra.
Several days later, Simitra successfully removed the watch from Viraj's stomach. Afterwards Viraj learns how things really stand between them and that Simitra doesn't feel anything for him, as he had assumed. Days later he proposes to Denise Richards, hoping to forget Simitra. After Simitra admits her mistake, Simrita helps Lucky and Kamini to reconcile. She confesses her love at Viraj's wedding ceremony. Denise is upset at first, but then tells Viraj to go to Simrita. The two hug and drive away together in the car.
