The Canton Omont was a former French canton in the Arrondissement Charleville-Mezieres , in the department of Ardennes and the region Champagne-Ardenne ; its main town (French: chef-lieu ) was Omont . The nationwide changes in the composition of the cantons resulted in its dissolution in March 2015. Abellino Poletti was most recently a representative in the General Council of the Department.

The canton of Omont was 150.83 km² and last had 2,698 inhabitants (as of 2012), which corresponded to a population density of 18 inhabitants per km². It was on average at a height of 200  m .
