The canton of Saint-Gilles is a French constituency in the Arrondissement of Nîmes , in the Gard department, and in the Occitanie region . As part of a nationwide reorganization of the constituencies, it was expanded from two to eight municipalities in 2015 and has since included a part of the city of Nîmes with only a few hundred inhabitants .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the two municipalities of Générac and Saint-Gilles belonged to the canton of Saint-Gilles . Its layout corresponded to an area of 177.99 km 2 . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 3027.
