The French canton of Aigues-Mortes is a canton in the Gard department and in the Nîmes arrondissement . Its main town is Aigues-Mortes and was expanded from three to seven municipalities in 2015 as part of a nationwide restructuring of the cantons .

Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the three municipalities of Aigues-Mortes , Le Grau-du-Roi and Saint-Laurent-d'Aigouze belonged to the canton of Aigues-Mortes . Its layout corresponded to an area of 202.32 km 2 .
