The canton of Troyes-1 is a French constituency in the Aube department in the Grand Est region . It covers a part of the municipality of Troyes in the Troyes arrondissement of the same name and has its bureau centralisateur in Troyes. In 1973 and again as part of the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in spring 2015, its catchment area was changed in each case.
Communities
The municipality of Troyes has 61,652 inhabitants and is divided into five cantons, of which 21,013 live in the canton of Troyes-1 (as of 2017).
Until the nationwide reorganization of the French cantons in March 2015, the canton of Troyes-1 included not only part of the urban area but also the two municipalities of Saint-Parres-aux-Tertres and Villechétif . Before 2015 it had a different INSEE code than it does today, namely 1022.
