The canton of Wernigerode existed from 1807 to 1813 in the Blankenburg district in the Saale department in the Kingdom of Westphalia and was formed by the royal decree of December 24, 1807. It only included the city of Wernigerode .
scope
The rural canton of Wernigerode included:
- the village of Nöschenrode and Wernigerode Castle and its surroundings, as well as the Wernigerode forest district, the Nöschenröder communal forest, all the mills and houses on the Zillierbach from the Count's garden on the Flutrenne up, the Büchenberg and Hartenberg, the rural forest district and the Charlottenlust suburb ,
- Friedrichsthal and Hasserode with the count's forester's house and the sawmill, the royal Hasseröder forest and the Gasthof zum Auerhahn,
- Schierke with the ironworks , the Schierker forest district, the Brocken and Brockenhaus, the Jacobsbruch, der Hohne and the colliery house of the Drei Annen,
- the village of Darlingerode with Oehrenfeld and the Plessenburg as well as the communal forest,
- the village and Gut Altenrode ,
- the village of Reddeber , together with the former Mackschen, later Jessische Mühle on the left bank of the Holtemme ,
- the village and Gut Minsleben together with a mill,
- the village of Silstedt and the Schmidt oil mill with all buildings, fields, meadows, angers , ponds from every place.
