Pulpit in Martigné-Ferchaud

The pulpit in the Catholic Church of St-Pierre in Martigné-Ferchaud , a French parish in the Ille-et-Vilaine department in the Brittany region , was created in 1865. The neo-Gothic pulpit was added to the list of architectural monuments in France in 1984 as Monument historique .

The stone pulpit has an elaborate sound cover in the shape of a Gothic chapel, which is crowned by a cross.

The pulpit is decorated with the four evangelists and their symbols at their feet. In the middle the blessing Savior is shown. The pulpit is supported by pillars connected by pointed arches.

Stone staircases in the form of neo-Gothic architectural elements lead to the pulpit on two sides.
